Creative Direction, Collaboration and Image Maker
Daniel Lismore is a creative polymath. From childhood exposure to history and decorative arts via his
antique dealer parents, he has worked in the creative industries from an early age. First studying
photography at college, before moving in front of the camera as a model, and turning to styling,
designing, direction before culminating as living as art. This progression and broad understanding of
fashion and the broader arts enables him to work and move within many mediums and converse and
collaborate easily with leading artists and institutions within the fashion and art worlds– turning his
hand to photography, costume design, film, sculpture.
A recent, high profile project Daniel undertook was to design the costumes for the English National
Opera’s production of Harrison Birtwistle’s iconic opera ‘The Mask of Orpheus’ which was staged at
the London coliseum. The designs were created in collaboration with Swarovski. He used lucid
dreaming techniques to develop the inspiration and ideas for each character’s ensemble.

From 2011 - 2017 Daniel was creative director of the luxury women’s wear brand, Sorapol. He
worked on the brand's overall image, as well as closely with the design team focusing on Haute
Couture embroidery and textiles. His skills as a stylist and creations were worn by the likes of Mariah
Carey, Naomi Campbell, Kylie Minogue, Cara Delevigne, Nicki Minaj, Rita Ora and Chali XCX.
Daniel also frequently works collaboratively with top photographers, fashion brands and magazines to create strong, iconographic images and content that represent and illustrate his and their artistic
visions. Examples of photographers he has worked with are, David LaChapelle, Nikolai Von Bismarck,
Ellen von Unwerth & Vidar Logi. He often works with magazines, King Kong Magazine, Paper Magazine, ID, Vice, Mission Magazine and as an integral part of his campaigning work Vivienne Westwood, Naomi Campbell Fashion For Relief and commercial work for leading brands such as llamasqua cosmetics, BVLGARI High Jewellery, Swarovski and H&M.
